Miss Stephanie Holstege

Hello! I’m Stephanie Holstege. Many of you know who I am through my parents Greg and Rhonda Holstege, so I’ll keep my introduction brief. In the spring of 2019, I graduated from Covenant and left all the memories behind me. When I interviewed for the English teacher opening at CCHS this past spring, I couldn’t believe how fast four years had gone! I attended Cornerstone University, but during my freshman year, COVID-19 hit. This impacted a lot of my education and training going forward. Growing up, I had always wanted to become a teacher, so it was disappointing that I was not able to be involved in schools as soon as I had hoped. It wasn’t until my student teaching experience at Thornapple Kellogg Middle School (TKMS) that I really had an amazing experience. This made me incredibly eager to begin my teaching career, and that excitement has not fallen short during the few months I have been at Covenant. Although there have been some unique ups and downs, there is no place I would rather be. Having come directly from student teaching at TKMS, one of the most humbling realizations here at Covenant was the unity of faith that is among the faculty, staff, and students. There is a unique desire to learn more about our faithful Father that has made working here such a privilege. Although it has been exhausting at times, it has been all the more rewarding. I’m looking forward to the years I spend teaching here, and I pray that God continues to bless the unity of the saints that dwell here together daily
