THIS WEEK IS FRIENDSHIP WEEK with the theme of Sticking Together, based on Proverbs 18:24 “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” (see the bulletin board outside of Mrs. Yeong's room).
1. CHAPEL BELL SCHEDULE: We are on chapel bell schedule for a combined band, choir, and orchestra rehearsal during noon hour. The concert will be October 30 at 7PM.
2. BAND STUDENTS: Please grab your instruments and music at 11:25 AM and head straight to the gym for this morning's combined rehearsal.
3. PSAT/NMSQT: The PSAT will be held TOMORROW. Juniors testing should report directly to the gym in the morning (testing KCTC students have been excused from KCTC for the day). Juniors not testing are expected at KCTC and in your normal classes.
4. HOT LUNCH: Chick-Fil-A will be sold tomorrow for $5 per sandwich or nuggets.
5. ATTENTION Freshmen: The Guidance Counselor meeting schedule for next week is now hanging on the glass by the Guidance Office door. Mr. Kalsbeek is looking forward to meeting with you and getting to know you a bit. We will also begin talking about your schedules for next year and some early thoughts you might have about your future. Don’t forget your homework packets when you come.
6. SOFTBALL: Open field on Tuesday from 3-4:30 PM
7. BOYS BASKETBALL: Open gym this week is TUESDAY from 7-8:30 PM
8. CHAPEL will be held Wednesday by the Student Council for Friendship week. We will be on chapel bell schedule.
9. FRIENDSHIP WEEK: Student Council has the following events planned for the week:
a. Wednesday: Friendship Chapel & Lunch Switcherooski -- Sit by someone new at lunch!
b. Thursday: Cider & Socializing at 1st break in the gym -- We will be selling Farmhaus Farms cider for $1 and donuts for $2 (or 2 for $3 if you buy with a friend)! All proceeds go to Paradise Bound Ministries.
c. Friday: Comfy Cozy Day -- Wear something comfy and cozy. Even better, match with a friend for extra fun! Dress code still applies.
